北京猿人遗址第四层裂变径迹法年代测定

摘要: 用裂变径迹法测定了北京猿人遗址第四层的年代,测定工作采用北京猿人遗址第四层的灰烬,从中分选出榍石,利用北京猿人用火时已充分退火的榍石进行年代测定,得到的结果为29.9±5.5万年。这一结果与热释光法和铀系法测定的第四层的年代结果一致。由裂变径迹法推知,北京猿人遗址第十层与第四层之间的延续时间为15.3万年。

Abstract: Fission track dating of Layer 4 of the Peking Man Site has been made with ancient ashesleft behind by Peking Man in Layer 4 of the Site. A mineral- - -sphene- -has been separated fromthe ashes and well-annealed sphene grains have been used to date Layer 4. The result is 0.29910.055 Ma (age of Layer 4), which is in agreement with the results of thermoluminescence datingand U-series dating. From fission track dating, an inference that the duration from Layer 10 toLayer 4 was about 0.153 Ma has been drawn.
